Ecofurb’s Retrofit Advice Service Recognised in Cotality’s 2025 Ashden Award Win

Ecofurb’s Retrofit Advice Service Recognised in Cotality’s 2025 Ashden Award Win

We’re delighted to share that our parent company, Cotality, has been named a winner of the 2025 Ashden Award for Outstanding Achievement (UK) – recognising their excellence in retrofit services and software, along with the pioneering work of Parity Projects, which was acquired by Cotality in 2024 for its leadership in the retrofit space.

The award was announced at the Royal Geographical Society in London on June 11, during Ashden’s 25th anniversary celebration.

The Ashden Awards spotlight climate solutions that are not only effective in reducing emissions but also inclusive and community-focused. This year’s winners were selected for their impact in both the UK and the Global South, and we’re proud to see Cotality among them.

I’m delighted to win this award. The Ashden Award panel has faced a difficult choice with an impressive alumni of past winners. But we believe our approach stands out…

Cotality’s recognition reflects a decade of innovation, including the evolution of services that now support homeowners, landlords, local authorities, and lenders. A key part of this journey has been the development of PAS Hub, a workflow software that streamlines retrofit delivery, and the expansion of independent retrofit assessment and coordination services.

At Ecofurb, we’re especially proud to have played a role in this success. Our platform, launched as the UK’s first national energy efficiency advice service, makes Cotality’s powerful data, technical knowledge, and quality assurance services accessible for individual homeowners and landlords, supporting better retrofit decisions in homes across the UK. From free online options analysis to tailored advice and quality-assured installation, Ecofurb empowers people to make confident, climate-smart home upgrades.

The UK has the oldest, coldest homes in Europe. Every home is unique… What we can do is use data to work smarter in the design of individual projects and whole asset planning.

This award also marks a full-circle moment: in 2012, Parity Projects (now part of Cotality) received an Ashden Award for its homeowner advice service. Since then, the impact has scaled dramatically – reaching 2.5 million homes, advising local authorities covering half of England, and supporting lenders like Paragon Bank in assessing climate risk.

The 2025 Ashden Award winners are setting us on course for a fairer, greener, better future… These are proven solutions with enormous impact, led by true climate pioneers.

We’re honoured to be part of this journey and excited for what’s ahead as we continue to support Cotality’s mission to deliver data-led climate resilience – in the UK and perhaps even beyond…
